hiya, still in china, spent one month travelling, starting to write songs again, now i have sixteen or so different songs from three different sessions i don't know if they can all fit inside the same cd without slaughtering one another. the fuck buddies and tutu clash record encountered some minor problems and vocals need to be recorded again. longest fuck buddies record to record. it should be worth the wait though. shows in france this summer, hopefully. traditional chinese cymbals sound really good. xxxxxxxx

The show with Tutu Clash and Pierre Robert de Saint Vincent was lots of fun. i have a song out on the new A Decouvrir Absolument compilation, it's new and can only be downloaded from www.adecouvrirabsolument.com, for free. It's called "Song for People Who Sing in Bars", it started as a joke and now i'm not sure anymore (i am). We will re-record it with a piano for the Fuck Buddies and Tutu Clash record.
I've recorded a couple of new songs which i really like, i still have a couple more left to do and then i'll start to think about how i'm going to release them. Aside from music i've been reading books by Dennis Cooper and Harry Crews as well as some of James Hadley Chase's train station crime novels. All good, especially if you need shock material to keep your skin dead cold while sunbathing. someone posted a nice article about me in his/her blog here. 1497 blog posts to go until someone at drag city calls me.

Those two shows in a row were awesome, thanks to tutu clash, thor, dallas, the keys and london must fall. i'm psyched and i'm going to open for the Silver Jews on june 27th at the Puerto Habana in Toulouse (yay!). piano breakdown-wise, i'm having trouble silkscreening the covers and i'm an easy quitter so silkscreening is being dropped in favour of more modern and less frustrating ways to print things on paper. the artwork will hopefully look even better, as polar bears will be involved. also, i'll be playing on july 5th with Yeepee and Arco5 at le Petit Voisin in Toulouse, part of the off nights of the siestes electroniques festival. recap: june 27th : toulouse : puerto habana, opening for Silver Jews (9pm, 14/16 euros) july 5th : toulouse : petit voisin (rue peyrolières), with yeepee, arco5 (10pm, 5 euros)

Primavera was lots of fun, once again. Those two shows in Paris and Rouen were fun. The Brian Jonestown Massacre are really good people. I'm playing tonight and tomorrow at Le Citron Bleu in Toulouse, starts at 9. Also playing will be Eddy Crampes and the Keys as well as London Must Fall tonight and Sea Unchanged tomorrow.
The Fuck Buddies shows will feature very special guests on both nights. Tutu Clash will play a few songs on the piano for me to sing tonight and Dallas Vermouth and Thor will bring an additional guitar and a drum kit tomorrow.
It should be fun.

I have recorded a lullaby with Tutu Clash months ago. It's called "Lou Oliver" and it's available for download on www.blogupmusique.com along with other lullabies by the Nourallah brothers, Jana Hunter, Ramona Cordova, Half Asleep and many more.
Also, we have recorded a Johnny Cash song ("Let the Train Blow the Whistle") which may appear on a tribute record.

The Hug/Mug Life ep will be out next week. It's a collection of songs i didn't really know what to do with. Star Date is a sleepy pop song recorded in december 2004, Joanna Newsom's Peach Plum Pear was recorded in April. San Diego and Tools were both recorded in May. It's a 3" cdr in a paperbag packaging with a colour insert and hidden treats. 50 copies will be done and sold 5 euros each.

I have played a show with The Devil Make Three and Eddy Crampes on apr. 9th, sorry i didn't tell anyone but i was asked to play there only a couple of hours before the show. It felt really good so i'd like to thank Marie, Marie, Thomas, Eddy and the Devil Makes Three for having me.
I'm going to do some silkscreening in the next couple of weeks, cover art for the new record, a few posters and maybe t-shirts. It'll turn out good hopefully.
I can't stop watching the O.C. and I wish I had an sensible explanation.

I have finished recording the next record, it is titled "Fuck Buddies in Slumberland". I have to do the artwork, it might take some time, and then it will be available. It's 9 songs and 26 minutes long.

This is the new Fuck Buddies website, i was tired of the messy black and white page. Behold!
The show at the champagne was very strange, DTOMDOM will appear on a compilation about love (!) and i'm going to start working on the new record sometime soon!
